Central Pollution Control Board Implementations

The e-waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2011 have been notified in May 2011 and will be effective from 01-05-2012. These rules were notified in advance to give the various stakeholders adequate time to prepare themselves and also to place the required infrastructure for the effective implementation of these rules.

Ministry of Environment and Forest Guidelines

Whereas, the draft rules, namely the e-waste (Management and Handling) Rules 2010 was published by the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment and Forests vide number S.O.1125 (E), dated 14th May, 2010 in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary of the same date inviting objection and suggestion from all persons likely to be affected thereby, before the expiry of the period of sixty days from the date on which copies of the Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public.
